DESIGN PROCCESS

We offer full landscape design service in person to Barrie, Oro-Medonte, Springwater, Grey County, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Muskoka & the rest of cottage country, Newmarket, King township, Toronto and the GTA. Though our landscape design services are tailored to your needs, we specialize in native gardens and modern Scandinavian style landscape design. We also offer remote landscape design service to the rest of Canada & the northern USA 

The design process begins with a phone call or email chat. Provide us with your Wishlist, property size and city location along with a few photos, and we’ll provide you with a fixed fee design estimate base on our discussion. If an initial in-person site visit is required to discuss a potential design project it can be arranged for a fee of $300 for up to one hour, plus travel time. Then if you decide to move forward with design work afterwards, that cost goes towards the design cost and you won’t be changed any extra.

Step 1. After design costing is approved, we’ll meet at your home or business to discuss all your functional outdoor needs, your esthetics, plus all of your outdoor hopes & dreams. We require a copy of your legal survey or site plan showing the house footprint / lot lines at this time. We’ll complete a site analysis, take extra site measurements, elevations and photos after our discussion.

For remote design we arrange another phone call or zoom meeting to discuss all of the above.

Upon completion of our meeting, we will follow up with a design contract and a deposit invoice.

Step 2. You’ll receive your first draft via email. We can meet, speak on a phone call, zoom call or email to discuss any revisions. *Lead times vary*

Step 3. Revisions are made, sometimes more than once. We’ll provide inspirational photos to help you visualize and full plant photo catalogue too.

Step 4. The master plan is finalized to scale, including furniture, all hard/soft scaping, landscape lighting and a dimension plan for construction purposes. If you choose a 2D + 3D package this is the stage when a 3D model is created of the agreed upon layout & presented in 9 photorealistic snapshot views.

Step 5. Depending on the project and its location, we can often recommend a vetted & suitable contractor for installation.

Afterwards, if extra support is required to meet with contractors or be on site for crucial times like plant layout, this can be arranged on an hourly basis. Phone calls and emails are free of charge, and we want you to keep in touch with us as your project progresses! Gardens change over time, and sometimes Wishlist’s and budgets change too, so we’re happy to weigh in as needed for the lifetime of your outdoor space.

2D LANDSCAPE DESIGN SAMPLES

In person design work starts at $2000 for 2D & colour and $3500 + HST for a 2D + 3D package (presented in 9 snapshot views). Remote design work starts at $1200. The digital copies are yours to keep and print as needed. We are a paperless company and don’t provide hard copies.

3D RENDERING DESIGN SAMPLES

As our firm is small & specialized, we can only take on a certain number of designs per year. Please get in touch as soon as possible to secure your spot.
